PLEXUS MA2015

Main features

  • 15-18 Minute Work Time
  • 0.75-38 mm Gap Filling
  • 19.8-24.8 MPa Tensile Strength

Product Description

Plexus MA2015 White is a two-part 10:1 methacrylate structural adhesive for thermoplastic, metal and composite assemblies with UV- and yellowing-resistant white appearance. At 23.9 deg C, typical work time is 15-18 minutes. The adhesive fills gaps from 0.75 to 38 mm, with final gap capability dependent on laminate thickness and composition. After cure, typical tensile strength is 19.8-24.8 MPa, tensile modulus is 985-1,103 MPa and elongation at break is 21-54%. Typical aluminum lap-shear strength is 17.3 MPa.

Key features

  • 15-18 minute work time: Typical work time is 15-18 minutes at 23.9 deg C.
  • Gap filling from 0.75 to 38 mm: The adhesive fills gaps from 0.75 to 38 mm, subject to laminate thickness and composition.
  • 19.8-24.8 MPa tensile strength: Typical cured tensile strength is 19.8-24.8 MPa with 21-54% elongation at break.

Applications

Structural bonding of thermoplastics, metals and composites; composite bonding in marine and transportation assemblies.

Elongation
Elongation is the process of lengthening something. It is a percentage that measures the initial, unstressed, length compared to the length of the material right before it breaks. It is commonly referred to as Ultimate Elongation or Tensile Elongation at break.
21 - 54 %
