PERMABOND TA436
Harmonization Code : 3919.10.80 | Other self-adhesive plastic rolls not exceeding 20 cm wide.
Main features
- No-Mix Structural Acrylic Assembly
- 20-30 Second Fixture on Zinc
- High Shear, Peel and Impact Performance
Product Description
Permabond TA436 is a no-mix toughened structural acrylic adhesive for metals, ferrites, ceramics and selected thermoplastics. Permabond Initiator 43 is applied to one surface and TA436 to the other, so no bulk mixing is required before assembly. On zinc at 23 deg C, typical fixture time is 20-30 seconds and handling strength is reached in 1-3 minutes. The adhesive fills gaps up to 0.5 mm. After cure, typical mild-steel lap-shear strength is 15-25 N/mm2, aluminum peel strength is 45-65 N/25 mm, and impact strength is 10-15 kJ/m2.
Key features
- No-mix adhesive and initiator application: Initiator 43 is applied to one surface and TA436 to the mating surface before assembly.
- 20-30 second fixture on zinc: Typical fixture time is 20-30 seconds at 23 deg C, with handling strength in 1-3 minutes.
- Peel and impact resistance: Typical aluminum peel strength is 45-65 N/25 mm to ISO 4578 and impact strength is 10-15 kJ/m2 to ASTM D-950.
Applications
Structural bonding of metals, ferrites and ceramics; bonding selected thermoplastics.
