PERMABOND HM165
Harmonization Code : 3919.10.80 | Other self-adhesive plastic rolls not exceeding 20 cm wide.
Main features
- Larger-Tolerance Cylindrical Retention
- Thixotropic High-Viscosity Gap Filling
- High-Temperature Very-High-Strength Retention
Product Description
Permabond HM165 is a high-viscosity, thixotropic anaerobic retaining compound for cylindrical metal assemblies with larger tolerances and elevated-temperature requirements. Its viscosity is 25,000 cP at 2 rpm and 10,000 cP at 20 rpm at 25 deg C, and the product fills gaps up to 0.3 mm. Typical handling strength on M10 steel is reached in 15-20 minutes at 23 deg C, with full strength in 24 hours. Cured HM165 develops typical 20 MPa shear strength on a steel collar-and-pin test to ISO 10123. It is a very-high-strength retainer when gap filling and high-temperature resistance are key selection needs.
Key features
- Larger-tolerance cylindrical retention: High viscosity and thixotropic behavior allow use with larger clearances in cylindrical metal assemblies.
- 0.3 mm maximum gap fill: Fills gaps up to 0.3 mm for slip- and clearance-fit retaining applications.
- High-temperature retaining grade: The product is specified for cylindrical retention where high-temperature resistance is required.
Applications
Retaining cylindrical metal parts; slip/clearance fits with larger tolerances; higher-temperature retaining applications.
