PERMABOND HM161
Harmonization Code : 3919.10.80 | Other self-adhesive plastic rolls not exceeding 20 cm wide.
Main features
- Slip-Fit Cylindrical Retention with 0.25 mm Gap Fill
- Fast Slip-Fit Assembly Handling
- High-Shear Retention for Mated Metal Parts
Product Description
Permabond HM161 is a one-part anaerobic retaining compound for cylindrical metal parts and slip-fit assemblies. The liquid cures when confined between mating metal surfaces, unitizing the parts and limiting relative movement that can contribute to wear, erosion and pitting. It fills gaps up to 0.25 mm and reaches typical handling strength on M10 steel in 10 minutes at 23 deg C. After cure, HM161 develops typical 24 MPa shear strength on a steel collar-and-pin test to ISO 10123. Its 2,000 cP viscosity balances gap filling with a liquid application profile for cylindrical retention.
Key features
- Slip-fit cylindrical retention: Retains mated cylindrical metal parts and slip-fit assemblies.
- 0.25 mm gap fill: Fills gaps up to 0.25 mm between mating metal parts.
- High cured shear strength: Typical shear strength is 24 MPa on a steel collar-and-pin test to ISO 10123.
Applications
Retaining cylindrical metal parts; slip-fit assemblies; prevention of movement, wear and corrosion between mated metal parts.
