PERMABOND HL138
Harmonization Code : 3919.10.80 | Other self-adhesive plastic rolls not exceeding 20 cm wide.
Main features
- Low-Viscosity Retention for Close Clearances
- Press-Fit and Clearance-Fit Shaft-Hub Assembly
- Rapid 10-Minute Handling on Steel
Product Description
Permabond HL138 is a low-viscosity anaerobic retaining compound for shaft-hub assemblies, press fits and clearance-fit cylindrical metal parts. Its 150-300 cP viscosity at 25 deg C allows the liquid to flow into close clearances before curing when confined between mating metal surfaces. The product fills gaps up to 0.127 mm and reaches typical handling strength on M10 steel in 10 minutes at 23 deg C. Typical cured shear strength is 16 MPa on a steel collar-and-pin test to ISO 10123. HL138 fits close-clearance cylindrical retention where low viscosity and rapid handling are important.
Key features
- Press- and clearance-fit retention: Retains shaft-hub and other close-fitting cylindrical metal assemblies.
- Low-viscosity application: Viscosity is 150-300 cP at 25 deg C for flow into close clearances.
- 10-minute handling on steel: Typical handling strength is reached on M10 steel in 10 minutes at 23 deg C.
Applications
Retaining shaft-hub assemblies; press fits; clearance fits and other close-fitting cylindrical metal parts.
