PERMABOND 3D90

Main features

  • Ultra-Low-Viscosity Deep Infiltration
  • Delayed-Set Deep Part Penetration
  • Low-Odor Low-Bloom Surface Finishing

Product Description

PERMABOND 3D90 is an alkoxyethyl cyanoacrylate infiltrant developed for granular and powder-based 3D-printed parts. Its ultra-low 4 mPa s viscosity and delayed-set behavior promote deep penetration into porous printed structures, while the low-odor, low-bloom formulation is suited to spot application or dip-bath infiltration. The product is clear and colourless and cures by ambient moisture without separate curing equipment. After infiltration, printed parts can be handled, sanded, painted, or bonded as the process requires, making 3D90 a specialized finishing and strengthening material for complex printed geometries.

Key features

  • Ultra-Low 4 mPa s Viscosity: The 3D90 grade uses an ultra-low viscosity for maximum penetration into porous printed parts.
  • Delayed-Set Deep Infiltration: Delayed cure speed extends penetration before the infiltrant sets within the printed structure.
  • Low-Odor Low-Bloom Finish: The alkoxyethyl formulation minimizes odor and powdery white surface residue during infiltration.

Applications

Infiltration and strengthening of granular or powder-based 3D-printed parts by spot application or dip bath.

Specific Gravity
Specific gravity (SG) is the ratio of the density of a substance to the density of a reference substance; equivalently, it is the ratio of the mass of a substance to the mass of a reference substance for the same given volume. For liquids, the reference substance is almost always water (1), while for gases, it is air (1.18) at room temperature. Specific gravity is unitless.

Physical Properties
Viscosity
Viscosity is a measurement of a fluid’s resistance to flow. Viscosity is commonly measured in centiPoise (cP). One cP is defined as the viscosity of water and all other viscosities are derived from this base. MPa is another common unit with a 1:1 conversion to cP. A product like honey would have a much higher viscosity -around 10,000 cPs- compared to water. As a result, honey would flow much slower out of a tipped glass than water would. The viscosity of a material can be decreased with an increase in temperature in order to better suit an application
