Product Description
MOLYKOTE D-3484 Anti-Friction Coating is a heat-hardening dry-film lubricant for metal-to-metal sliding contacts operating at slow to moderately fast movement and moderate to high loads. The gray-black, solvent-based coating uses molybdenum disulfide and graphite in an organic binder. It has a cure-temperature range of 23 to 200 deg C and a service-temperature range of -70 to 250 deg C. The coating is suited to applications where oil or grease is technically unsuitable or could cause unacceptable soiling, including supported gears, springs, lock parts, bolts and levers.
Key features
- Heat-hardened dry-film lubrication: Forms a bonded lubricating coating through the specified heat-hardening process.
- High-load metal sliding: Supports metal-to-metal friction pairs under moderate to high loads and slow to moderately fast movement.
- -70 to 250 deg C range: Has this service-temperature range for the applied coating.
Applications
Applications include supported metal-to-metal sliding contacts such as gears, springs, coupling sleeves, safety-belt and lock parts, bolts and levers.
