- 3 to 7 Weight-Percent Blending
- Up to 650 deg C Application
Product Description
MOLYKOTE 7365 Lubolid (EXP) Additive Powder is a free-flowing gray blend of inorganic solids for friction-lining formulations. This grade is used for friction stabilization, primarily in passenger-car disc brake pads. The powder may be added at a recommended 3 to 7 weight percent and mixed to homogeneous distribution within supported formulations. Its application-temperature limit is 650 deg C. The powder has a tamped density of 0.43 g/cm3, 0.9% residue on a 100 micron screen and 1.0% maximum moisture. These are additive-powder properties, not finished brake-system performance ratings.
Key features
- Friction-stabilizing additive role: Provides an inorganic-solids additive option for friction stabilization in supported brake formulations.
- 3 to 7 weight-percent blending: Add within this recommended range, then mix to homogeneous distribution.
- Up to 650 deg C application: Has this maximum application temperature for supported friction-lining formulations.
Applications
Passenger-car disc brake pads are the main application, with supported use also covering disc, drum, rail and industrial brake or clutch lining formulations.
