LORD 810

Main features

  • Low Read-Through Bondline
  • Thin-Gauge Panel Bonding
  • 2:1 Volume Mixing

Product Description

LORD 810 Low Read-Through Acrylic Adhesive is a two-component acrylic system used with LORD Accelerator 20GB for bonding thin-gauge metal and supported composite or plastic substrates. Its low-read-through formulation is intended to reduce visible bond-line distortion on appearance-sensitive panels. The system mixes at 2:1 by volume, adhesive to accelerator, using LORD 810 adhesive and Accelerator 20GB. It is suited to thin-gauge metal-to-metal assemblies and supported metal-to-composite or metal-to-plastic joints where surface appearance matters. The complete system consists of both the adhesive and accelerator, not either component alone.

Key features

  • Low read-through design: Supports appearance-sensitive thin panels where visible bond-line distortion should be minimized.
  • Thin-gauge substrate fit: Intended for supported metal-to-metal, metal-to-composite and metal-to-plastic bonding.
  • Controlled two-component mixing: Combines LORD 810 adhesive with Accelerator 20GB at 2:1 by volume.

Applications

Applications include thin-gauge metal-to-metal bonding and supported metal-to-composite or metal-to-plastic panel assembly.

Physical Properties
Viscosity
Viscosity is a measurement of a fluid’s resistance to flow. Viscosity is commonly measured in centiPoise (cP). One cP is defined as the viscosity of water and all other viscosities are derived from this base. MPa is another common unit with a 1:1 conversion to cP. A product like honey would have a much higher viscosity -around 10,000 cPs- compared to water. As a result, honey would flow much slower out of a tipped glass than water would. The viscosity of a material can be decreased with an increase in temperature in order to better suit an application

Thermal Properties
Flash Point
The flashpoint of a solvent is the lowest possible temperature at which it can vaporize to form an ignitable vapor. Flashpoint is often confused with “autoignition temperature”, which is the temperature at which a solvent ignites without an ignition source.
15 °C
