Harmonization Code : 38159000 | Unspecified reaction initiators, accelerators, and catalytic preparations
Main features
- Up to 25.4 mm Gap Fill
- 11-19 Minute Working Window at 32 deg C
- 45-55 Minute Handling Strength
Product Description
LORD 661/Accelerator 6 is a two-part acrylic adhesive system for DCPD and modified-DCPD FRP and for cross-bonding those composites to metals. LORD 661 is a white to off-white paste with blue tint and typical viscosity of 125,000-350,000 cP. The system mixes 10:1 by volume or 7.4:1 by weight. At 32 deg C, LORD 661 has an 11-19 minute working time; handling strength is reached in 45-55 minutes, with 24-hour room-temperature cure. The mixed adhesive is non-sag and fills gaps up to 25.4 mm. This page refers specifically to Accelerator 6, not the separate 6GB variant.
Key features
- Gap-Filling Capacity: The mixed system fills gaps up to 25.4 mm.
- Mixed-System Work Time: LORD 661 mixed with Accelerator 6 has a typical working time of 11 to 19 minutes at 32 deg C.
- Assembly Handling: The LORD 661 system reaches the stated handling-strength endpoint in 45 to 55 minutes.
Applications
DCPD and modified-DCPD FRP bonding and cross-bonding composites to metals.
