Product Description
LORD 506/Accelerator 17 is a two-part, semi-flexible acrylic adhesive system for bonding thermoplastics, thermosets and prepared metals. LORD 506 is a colorless-to-amber liquid with typical viscosity of 20,000-70,000 cP at 25 deg C. With Accelerator 17, the system uses a 10:1 volume ratio, provides a 4-6 minute working time, and reaches handling strength in 8-12 minutes at 24 deg C. Complete cure takes 24 hours at room temperature. The cured system is used from -40 to 149 deg C and accommodates shock and sudden stress loading.
Key features
- System Mixing: LORD 506 and Accelerator 17 use a 10:1 adhesive-to-accelerator ratio by volume.
- Assembly Handling: The mixed system reaches handling strength in 8 to 12 minutes at 24 deg C.
- Semi-Flexible Response: The cured adhesive accommodates shock and sudden stress loading.
Applications
ABS, acrylic, polycarbonate, FRP, prepared metals, urethane, phenolic, polysulfone and vinyl.
