Product Description
LOCTITE SI 598HB is a one-component black oxime RTV silicone gasketing compound for gasket replacement on oil pans, transmission pans, valve covers, timing gear covers, and differential covers. The thixotropic paste has a typical specific gravity of 1.28 to 1.32 at 25 deg C and Semco-cartridge extrusion of 35 to 70 g/min. It records at least 60 seconds of blow-out resistance on a 4 mm flange with a 1 mm gap at 0.014 MPa and at most 0.2 mm flow by ISO 7390. Tack-free time is at most 25 minutes at 25 deg C and 50+/-5% RH; cured elongation is at least 350%.
