Product Description

LOCTITE SI 5901 is a one-component grey oxime RTV silicone for sealing and gasketing, including stamped sheet-metal covers such as timing covers and oil sumps. The thixotropic material has a specific gravity of 1.3 to 1.37 at 20 deg C, a Semco-cartridge extrusion rate of 20 to 50 g/min, and 0.2 mm flow after 2 minutes by ISO 7390. Tack-free time is 7 to 24 minutes at 25 deg C and 50+/-5% RH. After one week under those conditions, tensile strength is at least 1.7 N/mm2 and cured elongation is at least 400%.
