Product Description
LOCTITE SI 5056 is a one-part, low-viscosity alkoxy silicone adhesive that cures with UV or visible light for bonding, potting, coating, and sealing. As supplied, viscosity is 1,400 to 3,000 mPa s at 25 deg C by Brookfield RVT. At 70 mW/cm^2 and 365 nm, tack-free time is up to 30 seconds with the Zeta 7215 light source, while depth of cure reaches at least 4 mm after 60 seconds with the Zeta 7200 light source. Full performance properties develop over 72 hours, and cured dielectric breakdown strength is 22.8 kV/mm by IEC 60243-1.
Key features
- 1,400 to 3,000 mPa s Viscosity: Brookfield RVT at 25 deg C, spindle 3, 20 rpm.
- At Least 4 mm Depth in 60 Seconds: Measured at 70 mW/cm^2 and 365 nm using a Zeta 7200 light source.
- 22.8 kV/mm Dielectric Strength: Measured by IEC 60243-1 after 60 seconds per side at 70 mW/cm^2 and 365 nm, followed by 24 hours at 22 deg C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity.
Applications
Bonding, potting, coating, and sealing.
