LOCTITE PC 7255

Main features

  • 2:1 Epoxy Mixing
  • 55-Minute Pot Life
  • 106 N/mm^2 Compressive Strength

Product Description

LOCTITE PC 7255 is a two-part, solvent-free ceramic-filled sprayable epoxy coating for protecting metal surfaces from abrasive and corrosive agents. Resin and hardener mix 2:1 by volume and by weight, and typical mixed Brookfield viscosity is 5,000 mPa s at 25 deg C. Typical pot life is 55 minutes for a 200 g mass by ISO 9514, with a 4-hour surface drying time at 22 deg C by ISO 1517. After seven days at 22 deg C, typical cured properties include 106 N/mm^2 compressive strength, Shore D 86 hardness, and 13 kV/mm dielectric strength. The material can be applied as a smooth protective coating or low-friction topcoat on industrial equipment surfaces.

Key features

  • 2:1 Resin-to-Hardener Mix: The mix ratio is 2:1 by volume and 2:1 by weight.
  • Typical 55-Minute Pot Life: Typical pot life is 55 minutes for a 200 g mass by ISO 9514.
  • 13 kV/mm Dielectric Strength: After seven days at 22 deg C, typical dielectric strength is 13 kV/mm by IEC 60243-1.

Applications

Protective coating of industrial equipment surfaces subject to corrosion and abrasion, including heat exchangers, tanks, chutes, valves, and pump components.
