LOCTITE A-671

Main features

  • Fast Room-Temperature Fixture
  • High-Strength Magnet Bonding
  • External-Mix 1:1 Processing

Product Description

LOCTITE AA A-671 is a two-part toughened structural acrylic adhesive system for permanent magnet bonding in motors, speakers, generators, and related magnetic assemblies. Part A resin and Part B hardener/activator are mixed at a recommended 1:1 ratio, producing a dark-green, thixotropic material that cures at room temperature. Fixture is 75 seconds or less, and lap shear is at least 13.8 N/mm^2 on solvent-cleaned steel after 24 hours at 25 deg C. The system is used for ferrite, AlNiCo, samarium-cobalt, and neodymium magnet assemblies; bond results depend on the surfaces and preparation.

Key features

  • Fast room-temperature fixture: Fixture time is 75 seconds maximum under ISO 10964.
  • Equal-ratio component mixing: The recommended Part A:Part B ratio is 1:1 for the complete two-component system.
  • Magnet-to-steel bonding: Bonds ferrite, AlNiCo, samarium-cobalt, and neodymium magnets to grit-blasted steel.

Applications

Permanent magnet bonding in DC motors, speakers, generators and magnetic assemblies.
