LOCTITE AA3462

Main features

  • Rapid UV/Visible Light Cure
  • Flexible Shock-Absorbing Bondline
  • Glass Bonding Across Multiple Materials

Product Description

LOCTITE AA 3462 is a one-part modified acrylic adhesive for UV- or visible-light-cured bonding, potting and sealing of glass-based assemblies. The translucent liquid has a typical viscosity of 9,500 to 14,300 mPa s at 25 deg C and can reach fixture in 3 seconds or less on glass under 365 nm exposure at 100 mW/cm^2 using an electrodeless D bulb. The cured material is flexible, with elongation above 150% after 30 seconds per side at 100 mW/cm^2 and 365 nm using an electrodeless D bulb, followed by 24 hours at 22 deg C. Applications include glass-to-steel, aluminum, PVC, ABS and polycarbonate assemblies. The adhesive combines rapid light cure with flexibility in these glass-based assemblies.

Key features

  • Rapid Light Fixture: Fixture can be reached in 3 seconds or less on glass at 100 mW/cm^2 measured at 365 nm using an electrodeless D bulb.
  • Flexible Cured Material: Elongation at break is above 150% by ISO 527-3 after 30 seconds per side at 100 mW/cm^2 and 365 nm using an electrodeless D bulb, followed by 24 hours at 22 deg C.
  • Glass Bonding Across Multiple Materials: Applications include glass bonded to steel, aluminum, PVC, ABS and polycarbonate.

Applications

Glass bonding, potting and sealing, including glass-to-steel, aluminum, PVC, ABS and polycarbonate assemblies.
