ELANTAS FR-1830

Main features

  • 2,200 cP Initial Mixed Viscosity
  • Non-Abrasive Mineral Filler
  • UL94 V-0 at 6.3 mm

Product Description

CONAPOXY FR-1830 is a two-component, mineral-filled, flame-retardant epoxy potting compound for electronic components and assemblies. Part A resin and Part B hardener mix at 100:20 by weight or 100:33 by volume. At 25 deg C, typical mixed values are 2,200 cP initially and a 50-minute work life. The system can be processed by hand, meter-mix, or vacuum potting and cures at room or elevated temperature. Its non-abrasive filler is specified to reduce equipment wear. Typical cured properties include UL94 V-0 at 6.3 mm, 0.1% linear shrinkage, and electrical insulation properties.

Key features

  • Initial Mixed Viscosity: Typical mixed viscosity is 2,200 cP at 25 deg C, with a 50-minute work life under the stated conditions.
  • Non-Abrasive Mineral Filler: The filler is specified to reduce wear on processing equipment.
  • UL94 V-0 at 6.3 mm: Typical cured properties also include 510 volts/mil dielectric strength at 25 deg C on a 1/16-inch specimen.

Applications

Potting and encapsulation of electronic components; modules; printed circuit boards; assemblies; related devices.
