Product Description
DOWSIL HV 496 Emulsion is a high-molecular-weight, low-cyclic-siloxane, silanol-functional silicone polymer emulsion used in textile, leather, release, home-care, and hydrophobing formulations. On fabrics it provides an elastomeric finish and can improve tear strength, crease resistance, abrasion resistance, stretch recovery, and whiteness retention. In leather top finishes it provides slip, abrasion resistance, gloss, wetting, and dilution stability. For mineral wool and fiberglass hydrophobing, it provides water repellency, compatibility with phenolic resin binder solutions, and dilution stability.
