Main features
- Good-Adhesion Industrial Encapsulation
- Low-Temperature Electronics Protection
- General-Purpose Low-Pressure Molding
Product Description
Bostik Thermelt 861 is a general-purpose moldable polyamide hot melt resin for industrial low-pressure encapsulation of electronic components and assemblies. The one-component grade combines good adhesion with an operating range of -40 to 125 deg C. Shore D hardness is 40/21 by ISO 868, measured immediately and after 15 seconds, and the softening point is 160 +/- 5 deg C by ASTM D3461. Thermelt 861 pairs broad industrial molding use with a defined thermal and hardness profile for polyamide electronics protection.
Key features
- Industrial adhesion: General-purpose moldable polyamide with good adhesion for industrial applications.
- Operating range: The grade operates from -40 to 125 deg C for low-pressure molded assemblies.
- Thermal and hardness profile: Softening point is 160 +/- 5 deg C with Shore D hardness of 40/21, instant/15 s.
