Product Description
Bostik FPA110-1FR is a flame-retardant thermoplastic adhesive film for transportation and aerospace decorative laminates. The 1 mil film bonds materials including PVF, vinyl, aluminum, polyamide film, phenolic prepreg, fabrics, and wools. It is heat activated at 220 to 235 deg F and can be processed by platen press or vacuum bag methods, with vacuum-bag pressure guidance of 20 to 50 psi. The adhesive is removable during refurbishment and has a SAFT heat resistance of 200 deg F, making it suited to decorative interior constructions where controlled heat activation and later removal are important.
Key features
- Heat-activated bonding: Activation at 220 to 235 deg F provides a defined thermal bonding window.
- Platen or vacuum-bag processing: Can be bonded by platen press or vacuum bag methods.
- Refurbishment removal: The thermoplastic adhesive can be removed during interior refurbishment.
