AXAREL 4100

Main features

  • Broad-Solvency Precision Cleaning
  • Fast, Low-Residue Drying
  • Manual or Immersion Processing

Product Description

AXAREL 4100 Solvent Cleaner combines modified alcohols and refined hydrocarbons for manual and immersion precision cleaning. Its broad solvency removes greases, mineral oils, coolants, synthetic fluids, and other metalworking soils. Fast drying and low surface residue make it useful before painting, plating, and other surface-finishing operations. The formulation also serves as an alternative to acetone, isopropyl alcohol, methyl ethyl ketone, toluene, and other low-flash-point solvents in supported cleaning processes. It is used across commercial aviation, defense, and precision-cleaning applications.

Key features

  • Modified-alcohol solvency: A refined-hydrocarbon blend removes oils, coolants, synthetics, and metalworking soils.
  • Fast, low-residue drying: Cleans surfaces before painting, plating, and other finishing operations.
  • Manual or immersion use: Fits two common precision-cleaning process formats.

Applications

Applications include manual and immersion precision cleaning and surface preparation before painting or plating.

Thermal Properties
Flash Point
The flashpoint of a solvent is the lowest possible temperature at which it can vaporize to form an ignitable vapor. Flashpoint is often confused with “autoignition temperature”, which is the temperature at which a solvent ignites without an ignition source.
47 °C
General Properties
Specific Gravity
Specific gravity (SG) is the ratio of the density of a substance to the density of a reference substance; equivalently, it is the ratio of the mass of a substance to the mass of a reference substance for the same given volume. For liquids, the reference substance is almost always water (1), while for gases, it is air (1.18) at room temperature. Specific gravity is unitless.
