Main features
- Rapid Curing
- Multi-Substrate Bonding
- Elevated-Temperature Capability
Product Description
Araldite 2085 A/B Structural Adhesive is a two-component, room-temperature-curing methacrylate structural adhesive designed for rapid assembly operations across a wide range of substrates. The adhesive bonds plastics, composites, and metals and develops handling strength quickly, with a set time of approximately 4–6 minutes. Its combination of rapid cure, strong adhesion to dissimilar materials, and service temperature capability up to 100°C (212°F) makes it suitable for manufacturing and assembly applications where fast processing and durable structural bonding are required.
Key features
- Rapid curing: Achieves a set time of approximately 4–6 minutes to support high-throughput assembly operations.
- Multi-substrate bonding: Adheres to metals, plastics, and composite materials with strong structural bond performance.
- Elevated-temperature capability: Suitable for service temperatures up to 100°C (212°F).
Applications / Suitable for
- Structural bonding of metal assemblies
- Plastic-to-plastic bonding
- Composite assembly applications
- Multi-material manufacturing and fabrication
- Rapid assembly operations requiring fast fixture development
