Product Description
ARALDITE 2053-15 A/B is a two-part toughened methacrylate structural adhesive for bonding metals, composites and plastics. It has a 15-minute open time and is supplied as a paste with specific gravity 1.1. Cured performance includes 60% elongation at break after seven days at room temperature under ISO 527, 23 MPa tensile strength under ISO 527 at 23 deg C, and a minimum 2175 psi lap shear result under the internal method at 25 deg C. Applications include transportation and structural bonding across the supported material groups.
Key features
- 15-minute open time: Defines the stated open window before assembly.
- 60% elongation at break: ISO 527 after a seven-day room-temperature cure.
- At least 2175 psi lap shear: Internal method at 25 deg C.
Applications
Transportation and structural bonding of metals, composites and plastics.
