ARADUR HW 9102

Main features

  • Amine Hardener Component
  • Sealed Room-Temperature Storage
  • Room-Temperature-Cure Structural System

Product Description

ARADUR HW 9102 is the amine hardener component of the ARALDITE AW 9102 HP / HW 9102 multipurpose two-component structural epoxy adhesive. The complete adhesive system cures at room temperature and is used for bonding metals, aluminum honeycomb, ceramics, sandstone, fireproof panels, floors, roofs, and curtain-wall assemblies. HW 9102 is stored at room temperature in a sealed container and is combined with AW 9102 HP during adhesive preparation. The hardener is the curing component of this structural bonding system rather than a standalone adhesive.

Key features

  • Amine curing chemistry: HW 9102 forms the hardener side of the AW 9102 HP/HW 9102 two-component structural epoxy adhesive.
  • Sealed room-temperature storage: HW 9102 is stored at room temperature with the component kept in a sealed container.
  • Room-temperature-cure system: The complete AW 9102 HP/HW 9102 structural adhesive cures at room temperature.

Applications

Hardener component in the AW 9102 HP/HW 9102 system for bonding metals, aluminum honeycomb, ceramics, sandstone, fireproof panels, floors, roofs, and curtain-wall assemblies.

Physical Properties
Viscosity
Viscosity is a measurement of a fluid’s resistance to flow. Viscosity is commonly measured in centiPoise (cP). One cP is defined as the viscosity of water and all other viscosities are derived from this base. MPa is another common unit with a 1:1 conversion to cP. A product like honey would have a much higher viscosity -around 10,000 cPs- compared to water. As a result, honey would flow much slower out of a tipped glass than water would. The viscosity of a material can be decreased with an increase in temperature in order to better suit an application
8,000-16,000 mPa.s
