3M DP810NS

Main features

  • Low-Odor Non-Sag Acrylic
  • 10-Minute Work Life
  • 20-Minute Set Time to 0.3 MPa Overlap Shear

Product Description

3M Scotch-Weld Low Odor Acrylic Adhesive DP810NS is a low-odor, non-sag, toughened two-part acrylic adhesive for bonding metals, plastics, composites, and slightly oily metal surfaces. It mixes 1:1 by volume and weight. Typical component viscosities at 23 deg C are 90,000 to 95,000 cP for the base and 95,000 to 100,000 cP for the accelerator by Brookfield DV-II. At that temperature, typical work life is 10 minutes and typical set time is 20 minutes to reach 0.3 MPa overlap shear. Typical full cure takes 8 to 24 hours, using a criterion of at least 80% of ultimate overlap-shear strength.

Key features

  • Low-odor, non-sag formulation: The toughened acrylic supports localized adhesive placement for metal, plastic, and composite assembly.
  • 20-minute set time: The typical interval at 23 deg C is the time to 0.3 MPa overlap shear, separate from the 8 to 24-hour full-cure interval.
  • Equal-volume or equal-weight mixing: The base-to-accelerator ratio is 1:1 on either mixing basis.

Applications

Industrial structural bonding of metals, composites, and plastics, including slightly oily metal surfaces.
